TRAVELING & DIET DURING PREGNANCY

Traveling:

Traveling during pregnancy entails a lot of precautionary measures to avoid any unprecedented causalities. However, in certain medical conditions traveling should be completely avoided. Medical conditions in which traveling is prohibited are;

  • Women with high blood pressure.

  • Women with Placental abnormalities.

  • Women with a history of miscarriage or preterm birth

  • Women with Gestational diabetes.

Diet:

Having a wholesome diet before and post-pregnancy is essential for the proper growth and nourishment of the mother. Consulting a dietician after getting your BMI checked is advisable as the bodily needs of every woman differ. However, there is a certain food that every pregnant woman can include, namely-

  • Foods are rich in Iron like dried fruit and beans, sardines and green leafy vegetables.

  • Foods are rich in Folic acid like lentils, kidney beans, green leafy vegetables (spinach, romaine lettuce, kale, and broccoli), citrus fruits, nuts, and beans.

  • Dairy Products like milk, paneer and curd.
